Henry Jeffers of Canefield is the lucky winner of a plot of land valued at $80,000.

Jeffers received the news at a DIGICEL street event this afternoon where the telecommunications provider held its Christmas Grand Prize Draw.

Jeffers chose the community of Grand Savanne, Salisbury on a map when asked where he would purchase the plot of land.

Other prizes in DIGICEL’s Christmas draw included scooters, cameras, and ipods.

This afternoon’s event, hosted by entertainer Val Cuffy and Miguel Labadie, also featured a Mini Calypso Tent with calypsonians from the Showdown Mas Camp, as well as other entertainers.
