Wednesday, July 20th, 2011: Roseau, Dominica: On Monday July 4, 2011; as part of the Digicel cricket series 2011 - Digicel Dominica organized a Cricket fun day with Children from the Alpha Centre and Special Olympics team.

The children received a chance to take photos interact and play cricket games with the Cricketers from the West Indies team to include the Captain Dareen Sammy.

It was indeed a great time for the children which they enjoyed to the fullest. after completing their games they were all supplied with refreshments involved a greater form of interaction with the children and local Digicel Staff members.

After the session Digicel Dominica Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Richard Stanton addressed the students and teachers with a few remarks. Stanton stated that “Digicel today is delighted to be supporting this cause which is so very close to Digicel’s heart. Digicel is the proud sponsor of many sports men and women across Dominica including cricket, football and athletics – but our sponsorship of Alpha Centre and Special Olympics organizations in Dominica is our most treasured partnership.

 “We at Digicel are extremely happy that all of you turned out to enjoy this fun day with the West Indies players - and we look forward to even bigger and better relations with these two organizations as the year unfolds. We will also be giving tickets to the both teams to attend the test match – while a member from Special Olympics team will be performing the coin toss at the test match” said Richard Stanton.
